Indoor Skatepark Feasibility Study - workshop - 2 hours
Help us to design and deliver an indoor meanwhile-use skate hub in Waltham Forest. We're holding a workshop to set the direction for the project, which will include discussions around what spaces and uses could be included, what social value it can bring - and what principles should guide the project.

Join us for a day of workshops and taster sessions in skateboarding & bmx and tell us how we can improve E4 skatepark.
We will host demos with local legends, and taster sessions, sharing the history of skating at Chase Lane Park and how you can get involved in the local community.
11am and 12pm: Free skateboarding lessons

3pm: Skate and BMX demo
3.30pm: Join us for a Mini Skate Jam with stalls, food and music
Feedback from this engagement event will go towards shaping the Levelling Up Fund improvements to Chase Lane Skate Park.

skateboarders and artists from diverse backgrounds, nurturing creativity and encouraging integration and
collaboration, reflecting the multicultural nature of the borough

Two worlds that exist next to each other but have not collaborated until now.
In these first two sessions we will be producing skateboard graphics based on William Morris’s designs.

Since 2012 our Lloyd Park skate jams are an established fixture for the local scene and the new Cann Hall Skatepark built by Betongpark Ltd is hosting a lots of pro skaters and is a focal point for a local community

From 11:30am-1:30pm we’ll be running free female-led skateboarding coaching, all equipment provided. Everyone aged 6-16 is welcome.
And then through the afternoon, it’s time for the skate jam!

In September 2019 with the support of Vans, we organised a screening of award-winning and BAFTA-nominated film Kamali during the girls skate night in House of Vans where we started a fundraising drive to help build a skate park in Kamali's village in India.
What is SKÄYTPÄRK?
SKÄYTPÄRK is a zine, a pdf, a bulletin, an inspiration for creativity, and a platform for collaborations with artists and writers.
As the lockdown eases and social distancing is with us for the foreseeable future, our annual Skate Jam and Walthamstow Garden Party have needed to take a virtual route. Schools have broken up for summer but our children still don’t have full freedom so let’s stimulate them creatively with skate family activity.
Continuing our SKÄYTPÄRK tradition which began with Ash Skates we are delighted to have the support of amazing artists Ged Wells, Pete Fowler, Eric J. Eckert, and ffwih who kindly donated their artworks and illustrations for our new issues.
